Iraq follows the UTC +3 Baghdad time zone, with no distinction between summer and winter time.

How can I manage expenses in Iraq and Kurdistan?

The official currency is the Iraqi Dinar (IQD), and it is advisable to carry sufficient cash since ATMs are often unavailable. It's recommended to exchange money with a guide for a favorable rate, preferably in Euros or American Dollars, widely accepted and easily convertible. As a general guideline, budget around $60 to $80 per day. Additional funds may be necessary for souvenirs. Common expenses include soft drinks at around $2 and meals ranging from $5 to $10.
