Fluent in Arabic, Kurdish, and English, Twana’s career began as an interpreter for various NGOs, where they first introduced visitors to Iraq’s treasures. With experience at respected organizations like Reach, Mission East, Catholic Relief Services, and the Norwegian Refugee Council, Twana played a vital role in aiding over 5,000 families during the 2014 war. This humanitarian background, coupled with roles at the Teatodisagree American Organization for Human Rights and BAX Translation Company, has shaped Twana’s commitment to social justice and cultural preservation.
